Steps to Get Started

The following main steps a reseller needs to do to get started with the Xero integration:

  1. Set up Xero integration: At this step, you need to log in and integrate Xero with Reseller Marketplace.
  2. Synchronize: Now, you need to synchronize orders and subscriptions between Reseller Marketplace and Xero

Important: Several subscriptions can be synchronized with one invoice; one subscription cannot be synchronized with several invoices.

About Mappings

To ensure that there are no mismatches, and all changes in Reseller Marketplace are synchronized with Xero, the objects in both systems must be mapped. That is, Reseller Marketplace Product Catalog, Customer Catalog, Order and Subscription must be mapped with the respective Xero objects: Services, Company, and Invoice.

There are three ways to map your customers between Reseller Marketplace and Xero, and two ways to map your products between Reseller Marketplace and Xero. Orders and subscriptions are mapped during the subscription synchronization process.

Note: You can also create a Xero product during the synchronization process.

Configuring Xero integration

To integrate Xero with Reseller Marketplace, complete the following steps:

  1. In your UX1 for Resellers, click Integrations.

  2. Click Get PSA Integrations.

  3. Click Xero Integration.

  4. In the pop-up window that displays, click Install now. Then, in the appeared pop-up message, click Continue to be redirected to the authorization page to connect to your Xero account. After confirming your authorization, you will be redirected back.

  5. In the Settings pop-up window that displays, specify:
    • Whether to load prices from Xero or Reseller Marketplace by default.
    • Whether to automatically create and process synchronization tasks. You can select from the two options of change checking periodicity: once per day, or once per 5 min.
    • Events you want to be notified of and tracked: only about errors and actions required from you, or about all tasks. These notifications are displayed in pop-up messages and Action Log.
    • Whether to synchronize new or existing Invoices by default.
      • New Invoice: Each order will create a new invoice in Xero.
      • Existing Invoice: The order will be synchronized to the latest invoice, for that customer.
    • Note: You can access these settings later by clicking the gear icon on the dashboard and selecting Settings.
