GDAP capabilities allow partners to grant their users permissions to manage customers accounts in a stricter way (restrict roles for users based on their position within the business) and to better address security concerns customers have.

GDAP is currently setup so that it has a time limit. The Length of GDAP relationships can be anything from 1 day to 730 days (2 Years). There is an Auto-extend feature that will allow you to extend the relationship by a further 6 months should you get a notification that the relationship is due to expire:

Method 1 Extend GDAP Relationships in Bulk:

  1. Log in to: https://partner.microsoft.com/commerce/customers/list
  2. Navigate to Expiring Granular Relationships
  3. Select Customer accounts via the checkbox at the side
  4. Extend GDAP Relationship
  5. Wait a few minutes and it will update and show Yes (6 months) in the auto extend field
Note: A Maximum of 25 accounts can be selected at one time. If you attempt to select more than 25 accounts at one time you will receive an error and no changes will be made

Method 2 Extending GDAP Relationship for one customer
  1. Log In to https://partner.microsoft.com/commerce/customers/list
  2. Search for the customer
  3. Click on the customer Account Name
  4. Select Admin Relationships
  5. Select the relationship name and toggle the Auto-Extend Slider to on
  6. Allow this a few minutes to apply

Note: Auto-Extending a relationship does not apply until the end of the current relationship. Microsoft will send out notifications of these expiring at 31, 7 and 1 day before expiry meaning that you may receive further notifications.
